Religion is defined as a system of beliefs, rules and way of life, however are we making sure to be educated about the religion we profess? What does your religion say regarding being a woman, female, daughter, wife, mother? Are you elevated and respected or demoted and considered the "weaker vessel" who should remain "silent"?
Our religion should strengthen and give us confidence not tell us that we are cursed.
The Bible blames women for "fall of mankind" (Genesis 3:3), considers us "cursed"(Genesis 3:16) and has Adam (AS) abandon Eve and blames her (Genesis 3:12. Says that women were created to be "helpers" (Genesis 2:18) of men and are not to teach, learning, speaking, asking questions and are considered property (Numbers 27). How can one gain confidence when this is how you are perceived? The Bible teaches women are inferior to men and call us temptresses.
Islam gave women rights over 1400 years ago (despite the media/uneducated), that we are still struggling to attain here (equality, protection, rights to education/property/inheritance/divorce)
Please join me as I shed some light on what the Bible says regarding being female in this life and then ask yourself, does this sound like the God we all know?
He is the MOST compassionate, the MOST in justice and love.
